Since facial expressions are a universal language it is important to learn to recognize them at an early age. Since ASD students have difficulty understanding facial cues and body language this tool is a great one to have posted in your classroom as a daily reminder of what these emotions look like so they will become familiar with them. The better they are at recognizing them the better social situations will be for them. |
