What are Regular and Irregular verbs? Regular or Irregular? Regular verbs are verbs whose past tense or past participles are formed by adding d or ed to the end of the verb. Examples are: jump/jumped, play/played. Irregular verbs don?t conform to the above rule. Examples are: ran/run, fall/fell/fallen, eat/ate/eaten, say/said. (You would never say runned or eated.)
